During my work with Naya Technologies I mainly solved Big Data challenges using Amazon Web Services tools. Projects:

• Helping a major player in online marketing business in migrating it’s services to AWS platform to reduce costs. In my everyday work my duties were: writing architecture designs, hands-on development using DynamoDB NoSQL database, building a CI/CD pipeline for EKS deployment, assisting development teams
• to congure their products for AWS environment, resolving production issues. All this done through direct communication with the customer and strong teamwork.
• Data enrichment system for a government company in Israel aerospace industry, using Scala and Spark to get insights on events from autonomic vehicles.
• Smart grid optimization system using Markov Decision Process algorithm to cut costs for electricity micro grids.

I have developed from scratch a UCaaS platform using Java with Spring stack. This platform is now the target architecture for ATT UC department and lead to company partnership with Cisco. Among my daily tasks were:

• Hands-on writing of crucial code parts and CI + deployment process.
• Managing a team of developers, QA and DevOps.
• Understanding customer requirements and translating them into specs.
• Presenting the solution to our customers.
• Writing crucial parts of data migration system using Python/Django.

I worked in a team responsible for innovative gambling platform written in Scala using Akka technology stack. We used Akka cluster to be able to handle high transaction throughput. Among my responsibilities were:

• Developing protocols used by external game providers on game session management.
• Implementing government regulation requirement on gambling sessions in multinode environment.

During my work at NetApp we developed NetApp storage OS implementation for the cloud. Besides everyday features implementation, I have optimized the build performance, migrating from Maven to SBT which gave 2x shorter build time. Also I helped the team to move to Git which resulted in better code review coverage. My everyday tasks were:

• Using Scala Akka on top of JBoss stack to orchestrate NetApp solution deployment on AWS platform.
• Working in small team consisting of frontend, backend and QA automation developers to roll out features quickly with the required quality format.

As a developer in an outsoursing company I had the luck to solve various problems for different customers. The biggest projects I worked on were:

• Build infrastructure refactoring for one of the largest Israel IT companies (Amdocs), where together with a team of skilled developers we rewrote the build from spaghetti-like code in Perl, Ant and Bash to a set of 600+ Maven modules, with clear indication on CI status.
• Domain acquisition and management system for a small SEO company which were written from scratch to production usage using Java, Spring and Vaadin.
• Questionnaire system for HR psychology company using Java with JBoss stack.

As part of application team I worked both on server and client sides developing enterprise applications using Swing for the client side, Spring as the main server side technology and Sybase TSQL for complex queries & stored procedures.
